Compare Quad Lock Universal Fit Desk Kits and Stroller Kits on mounting location, charging, and portability to choose the right phone mount for your routine.
Quick answer
Choose the Desk Kit if you need a stable, chargeable phone desk mount for home or office. Choose the Stroller Kit if you want a secure, easy-to-attach stroller phone holder for hands-free access while walking.
Mounting location drives the decision
The Desk Kit is designed to sit on a flat surface such as a desk or counter, while the Stroller Kit attaches to stroller handles. That difference in mounting location is the first thing to settle: a desk mount stays put in one place, whereas a stroller mount moves with you and must attach and detach easily.
Charging changes the value for desk use
The Desk Kit supports wireless charging heads and a Wireless Charging Pad, so you can keep your phone topped up without hunting for a cable. The Stroller Kit does not list charging features, so if you need power on the go, plan to carry a power bank or charge before you leave.
Portability and setup trade-offs
The Stroller Kit is built to be easy to attach and detach and can secure to a variety of handles, making it simple to move between strollers or take along on trips. The Desk Kit is intended as a stylish addition to a fixed spot, so it is less suited to frequent relocation.
Key trade-offs
- Desk Kit trade-off: You gain a stable, chargeable phone desk mount for home or office, but you give up the ability to easily move the mount from place to place. Decide if the mount will stay in one spot.
- Stroller Kit trade-off: You gain a portable stroller phone holder that attaches and detaches easily, but you give up built-in charging options. Plan how you will keep your phone charged during walks.
- Universal Fit compatibility: Both kits use the same Universal Fit system, so the choice comes down to where and how you will use the mount, not which phone you own. Check that your phone works with the Universal Adaptor before buying.
